Hygienic products are subjected to an hygienic assessment before being imported to the Russian Federation. Russian customs authorities require a sanitary-epidemiological certification. This attestation is issued by the Federal Agency of Governmental Supervision in the Field of Consumer Protection (ROSPOTREBNADZOR).

The following products require hygienic certification:

• Food and food additives
• Textiles
• Toys
• Furniture
• Crockery
• Machinery, technical products and technological equipment in contact with food, pharmaceutical products, drinking water, etc.
• Office equipment
• Domestic chemicals
• Cosmetics.
